I’ve always been in the arts, painting, and sculpture and the love for it led me to Studio Art and Graphic Design. It was only natural to then develop a deep connection with Interior Design. I have worked with top designers and private clients in the USA, South America, and Europe by using my intuition to design and manage beautiful interiors of luxury homes, historic hotels, and private yachts. With 27 years creating interiors, my journey has been such a blessing, I am beyond grateful for every project I have been a part of and still am so excited when new projects start. From the east coast of Florida to the Gulf, I fell in love with the people, beautiful beaches, and coastal homes here. It's such a warm, welcoming place. I really do enjoy making a home fit someone perfectly.

Why we stand by the theory of designer collaboration instead of competition.
We are Jessica and Stephanie, both owners of South Florida design firms, House of TROPI Design Studio and House of Fleck Interiors and we collaborate on most ALL of our projects. We are extremely proud of our experiences and are established designers in our own independent journey through the years. When we were invited to a mutual friend’s barbeque, we had no idea that we would be collaborating in the design world. We casually mentioned we both were Interior Designers and the conversation proceeded to have a hundred “me too’s” that afternoon. Fast forward to an endless amount of text messages and so many fun inseparable design hours later, our inspiring friendship solidifies that our hearts were meant for this. Aside from sharing the same design philosophy of truly helping people as our number one mantra, we have the perfect balance of individual strengths. With love and tremendous support we respect each other’s styles and have the best time working together! With this innovative idea of collaboration over competition, we have added even MORE collaborators and hope to continue this all under one roof and shared space, THE DESIGN HOUSE. We are excited to create spaces for our current and future clients with the philosophy of “better together.”
Stephanie Fleckenstein
Business Partner & Collaborator | HOUSE OF FLECK INTERIORS
When pregnant with their second child and moving to be closer to family 9 years ago, Stephanie went into high gear to get their previous house “show ready.” All of the planning, organizing and styling paid off. Their home sold in less than 24 hours with multiple offers over asking! This sparked a new love for clean, curated and organized interiors.. “My love for all things interior has evolved over the past 9 years tremendously.” She noticed a switch in clients between 2019-2020 from staging to interior styling so it was time for a rebrand and she launched House of Fleck Interiors. Working from home during the pandemic was amazing for business. Feeling so grateful during a hard time for a lot of people was such a humbling surprise.. Her aesthetic is described as clean, calm and original. “I love the challenge that each project brings. Blending styles with couples to curate a home that functions in a way that they love is why I do what I do!”
Brittany Schwaner
Interior Stylist & Collaborator
Brittany is a Tampa native and graduate of the University of South Florida. Brittany comes from a background in healthcare and has recently made the exciting transition into the world of interior design. She’s always been drawn to creative environments and has a deep appreciation for beautiful, well-curated spaces. With a passion for aesthetics and a long-standing dream of joining the interior design world, she’s thrilled to be working with The Design House to bring that dream to life. This new chapter allows her to blend creativity with structure in a way that feels both natural and fulfilling. Brittany is excited to continue learning, growing, and contributing a fresh perspective to every project she’s part of.
Chloe Green
Interior Stylist Intern & Collaborator
Chloe is currently a senior at the University of Tampa, transferring from the University of South Dakota. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Design with a minor in Business Administration. With a strong passion for digital art and interior design, she combines creativity with functionality to bring meaningful visual concepts to life. After graduation, she plans to earn a certificate in Residential Interior Design to further specialize in creating beautiful and meaningful spaces.. Collaborating with the design team provides a dynamic and rewarding profession for her that combines artistic expression with functional solutions.
Shannon McMillan
Window Treatment Specialist & Collaborator
Meet Shannon, a proud St. Pete native and a creative force behind our company. Her love for all things fashion and style shines through in the details, as she crafts spaces that exude a unique aesthetic and charm. As a devoted mom of three, Shannon understands the importance of creating homes that are both beautiful and functional for families. After years of working in marketing and private sectors, Shannon's journey into the world of interior design finally manifested. A true believer in the power of encouragement and the pursuit of dreams, she approaches each project with enthusiasm and dedication.
