Jessica Frederick
Principal Designer and Founder, House of TROPI Design Studio
I’ve always been in the arts, painting, and sculpture and the love for it led me to Studio Art and Graphic Design. It was only natural to then develop a deep connection with Interior Design. My knowledge is unique. I love that I can problem solve by bringing a rare blend of creativity and also business intelligence. My experience in construction, project management, and also architecture gives me the opportunity to mentor my team and clients through all phases of their projects. I have worked with top designers and private clients in the USA, South America, and Europe by using my intuition to design and manage beautiful interiors of luxury homes, historic hotels, and private yachts. With 27 years creating interiors, my journey has been such a blessing, I am beyond grateful for every project I have been a part of and still am so excited when new projects start. From the east coast of Florida to the Gulf, I fell in love with the people, beautiful beaches, and coastal homes here. It's such a warm, welcoming place. I really do enjoy making a home fit someone perfectly. It's my responsibility to find out what a client's definition of happiness is and give it to them.
Jessica and Stephanie - Our Collaboration Story
We are Jessica and Stephanie, both owners of South Florida design firms, House of TROPI Design Studio and House of Fleck Interiors and we collaborate on most ALL of our projects. We are extremely proud of our experiences and are established designers in our own independent journey through the years. When we were invited to a mutual friend’s barbeque, we had no idea that we would be collaborating in the design world. We casually mentioned we both were Interior Designers and the conversation proceeded to have a hundred “me too’s” that afternoon. Fast forward to an endless amount of text messages and so many fun inseparable design hours later, our inspiring friendship solidifies that our hearts were meant for this. Aside from sharing the same design philosophy of truly helping people as our number one mantra, we have the perfect balance of individual strengths. With love and tremendous support we respect each other’s styles and have the best time working together! We are excited to create spaces for our current and future clients with the philosophy of “better together.”
Stephanie Fleckenstein - Creative Director and Founder, House of Fleck Interiors
When pregnant with their second child and moving to be closer to family 9 years ago, Stephanie went into high gear to get their previous house “show ready.” All of the planning, organizing and styling paid off. Their home sold in less than 24 hours with multiple offers over asking! This sparked a new love for clean, curated and organized interiors. With design now growing in her heart, shortly after their daughter was born, a close friend invited Stephanie to an open house that she was hosting. When it was over, Stephanie was sure that her friend would receive multiple offers if the home was properly staged. After tons of research, her first company was born in 2015 called 2L Design & Staging, named after her two children, and to further her Interior Design knowledge, she excelled at her NYIAD coursework. “My love for all things interior has evolved over the past 9 years tremendously.” She noticed a switch in clients between 2019-2020 from staging to interior styling so it was time for a rebrand and she launched House of Fleck Interiors. Working from home during the pandemic was amazing for business. Feeling so grateful during a hard time for a lot of people was such a humbling surprise. Outgrowing her home office in 2022, she opened her first studio knowing that big things were right around the corner. Her aesthetic is described as clean, calm and original. “I love the challenge that each project brings. Blending styles with couples to curate a home that functions in a way that they love is why I do what I do!”
Brooke Green - Interior Stylist
As a University of Tampa student getting her Bachelor of Arts in Design, she has always had a passion for Interior Design with an eye for transforming spaces into stunning interiors. A Florida native from Indian Rocks Beach, she loves the beautiful coastal design that Florida has to offer. Brooke is excited to apply her unique perspective as an Interior Stylist where she can immerse herself in the field and gain valuable experience. She brings a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design trends to create cohesive, inviting environments and eager to make a tangible impact on everyday living spaces. Collaborating with the design team provides a dynamic and rewarding profession for her that combines artistic expression with functional solutions.
Brittany Schwaner - Interior Stylist
Brittany is a Tampa native and graduate of the University of South Florida. Brittany comes from a background in healthcare and has recently made the exciting transition into the world of interior design. She’s always been drawn to creative environments and has a deep appreciation for beautiful, well-curated spaces. With a passion for aesthetics and a long-standing dream of joining the interior design world, she’s thrilled to be working with The Design House to bring that dream to life. This new chapter allows her to blend creativity with structure in a way that feels both natural and fulfilling. Brittany is excited to continue learning, growing, and contributing a fresh perspective to every project she’s part of.
Shannon McMillan - Window Treatment Specialist
Meet Shannon, a proud St. Pete native and a creative force behind our company. Her love for all things fashion and style shines through in the details, as she crafts spaces that exude a unique aesthetic and charm. As a devoted mom of three, Shannon understands the importance of creating homes that are both beautiful and functional for families. After years of working in marketing and private sectors, Shannon's journey into the world of interior design finally manifested. A true believer in the power of encouragement and the pursuit of dreams, she approaches each project with enthusiasm and dedication.
